- This paper is a part of the researches to characterize and identify the architectural theory of Jun Itami (1937-2011) through his articles. The keywords were sorted out as items and examined from the viewpoint of hierarchy of the meaning. The first level items of his architectural theory are 【Joseon period】, 【Korea】, and 【Contemporary Japan】. - This paper is part of a study that plans to extract the characteristics of an architectural theory by the architect Jun Itami (1937-2011), based on all accessible texts from his writings throughout his life. According to this study, three major concepts constitute his architectural theory: [Joseon period], [Korea], and [Contemporary Japan]. In this paper, three of the four concepts constituting [Contemporary Japan], namely, "Nature", "Human spirit", and "Cities" are examined. Each item is further divided into subitems and sequentially examined for clarifying the following points. Within [Contemporary Japan], as industrialization and internationalization occur, spatial and temporal boundaries are eroded, and daily life changes day by day along with "Architecture"; humanity has become increasingly isolated from "Nature", "Architecture", and "Cities". The keywords of the subjects were sorted out as a number of items and examined from the viewpoint of hierarchy of composition of the meaning by extracting important sentence. As the first level of his architectural thought, three items of 【Joseon period】, 【Korea】, 【Contemporary Japan】 were extracted. This paper is examining 《Nature》,《Human Spirit》, and 《City》 that make up【Contemporary Japan】. 《Nature》consists of the third level of three items of［Natural objects］, ［Natural environment］, and ［The role of nature］. ［Natural objects］ consists of the 4th level of four items of 〈Water〉, 〈Wood〉, 〈Stone〉, and〈Soil〉. ［Natural environment］ consists of the 4th level of seven items of 〈Magnificence〉, 〈Environment〉, 〈Face〉, 〈Light〉, 〈Wind〉, 〈Sound〉, and 〈Sky〉. ［The role of nature］ consists of the 4th level of five items of 〈Harmony〉, 〈Antagonist〉, 〈Fusion〉, 〈Coexistence〉, and 〈Multi-layered〉. 《Human spirit》 consists of the third level of five items of ［Perceptual structure］, ［Changing to the line of sight］, ［Art］, ［Drawing］, and ［Parthenon temple］. ［Drawing］ consists of the 4th level of five items of 〈Physicality〉, 〈Layering and blocking〉, 〈Primitive experience〉, 〈Tuning〉, and 〈The significance of contemporary drawing〉. 《City》 consists of the third level of two items of ［Life in the city］, and ［Architecture in the city］.
In 【Contemporary Japan】, industrialization and internationalization are progressing, various spatial and temporal boundaries are fading, everyday life and 《Architecture》 itself continue to change day by day. Human beings are being isolated from 《Nature》, 《Architecture》, and 《City》.
While presenting an awareness of the problem of 《City》, he examined various ways of the relationship between 《Nature》 and 《Architecture》, and found and explained the concept of 〈Face〉and［Perceptual structure］ in his own word.

[Relationship with nature] consists of the 4th level of two items of 〈Integration with nature〉 and 〈Response to mountains〉. 《Architecture》 consists of the third level of three items of ［Private house］and ［Jongmyo Shrine］. ［Private house］ consists of the 4th level of eight items of 〈Coexistence with nature〉, 〈Reflection of life〉, 〈Fence〉, 〈Korean floor heater〉, 〈Connection inside and outside〉, 〈Eye movement〉, and 〈To contemporary house〉.［Jongmyo Shrine］consists of the 4th level of seven items of 〈Relationship with water〉, 〈Roof〉, 〈Eye movement〉, 〈Base〉, 〈Nothing〉, 〈Margin〉, and〈"Theater space"〉.
First, Itami spoke of 《Human spirit》 respect for 《Nature》 based on confucianism, and mentioned the 《Village》 where such people gathered and lived. There, we can see 〈Integration with nature〉 and 〈Response to mountains〉, and the 《Human spirit》was also observed there.
Next, he most discouraged discourse was about 《Architecture》 that was at the center of thought about 【Korea】. He observed ［Private house］ and explained the famous Korean traditional architecture, ［Jongmyo Shrine］ and 〈Secret garden〉.
There, we analyzed words such as 〈Nothing〉, 〈Margin〉, and 〈Theater space〉 that were used in his architectural works. He got what he could use for his own design activities from 【Korea】, and also considered future Japanese architecture by referring to these theories.

This paper is examining 【Joseon period】 consisted by the second level of two items of 《Objects》and 《Spirit》.
《Objects》 consists of the third level of three items of [Livingware], [Artworks], and [Beauty of objects]. [Livingware] consists of the 4th level of two items of〈Furniture〉and〈Ceramics〉 . [Artworks] consists of the 4th level of two items of〈Buddha statues〉and 〈Folk paintings〉. 《Spirit》 consists of the third level of four items of ［Confucianism］, ［Lifestyle］, ［Study of Muneyoshi Yanagi］, and [Beauty of spirit]. ［Confucianism］ consists of the 4th level of five items of〈Courtesy〉, 〈Nature and culture〉, 〈Yin-Yang〉, 〈Anonymity〉, and〈Influence on housings〉. ［Lifestyle］consists of the 4th level of two items of 〈Culture of sitting〉 and 〈Influence on housings〉. ［Study of Muneyoshi Yanagi］, consists of the 4th level of two items of 〈Theory of sorrow〉 and 〈Theory of line and white of sorrow〉.
First, Itami observes [Livingware] and [Artworks], or 《Objects》of 【Joseon period】in his own daily life, so that he felt those unique beauties that were created from close relationships with people of the day, their lives, traditions and customs. These concepts and senses had a great influence on his architectural theory. And as [Beauty of objects], he pursued about the background of the formative beauty and existential beauty of the 《Objects》 of 【Joseon period】, and he made a mention of the 《Spirit》 of those who value a life with the nature of those days when they were produced and used the 《Objects》.
Next, as the《Spirit》of【Joseon period】, he found that the society and life were established on several fundamental concepts in the culture of ［Confucianism］ which was flowing under the people at the time. Regarding ［Lifestyle］, he said about the relationship between humans and nature. he also discussed the beauty of Korean unique line and white as [Consideration to Muneyoshi Yanagi].
In this way, in order to explore the root of the beauty of 《Objects》 created by people of 【Joseon period】, Itami pursued the 《Spirit》 of the people of those days. It can be said that the knowledge and sense of 【Joseon period】 obtained in this way became the basis of his architectural theory and driving force of building design activities.

■ 研究シーズ- 近現代建築の空間構成理論や手法に関する建築意匠論研究シーズカテゴリ：社会基盤（土木・建築・防災）研究キーワード：伊丹潤, 建築家, 言説, 建築思想, 建築作品研究の背景と目的：現代でこそ、国際化や情報化に伴い、建築が国や分野の枠を超え多様化しつつありますが、過去の建築家が、自らのアイデンティティをもとに、いかにして精神・文化を継承し、創作活動を行ってきたのかを明らかにするべきであるという考えから、本研究に至りました。 伊丹が生涯模索した“知覚的構造”における“媒介としての建築”の本質に迫ることで、現代建築界に新たな指標を提示することを目的としています。研究内容：自らのアイデンティティを大切にして朝鮮のものや精神の美学を継承しながら設計活動を行った、在日韓国人の建築家伊丹潤（1937-2011）を対象に、建築思想および建築作品に関する研究を行っています。 言説の分析においては、現在入手可能な伊丹潤による前論考を対象として、言説の構造化、項目の抽出、KJ法による分類をもとに整理を行い、各項目やその通時的傾向について検討しています。期待される効果や応用分野：これまでの研究で得た手法や新たな手法を用い、様々な近代・現代建築家の空間構成理論や空間構成手法に関して、日本・韓国から、アジアや世界にまで視野を広げ、建築意匠研究を深めていきます。関係する業績：後藤沙羅, 末包伸吾, 増岡亮：伊丹潤の言説における【韓】に関する建築思想, 日本建築学会計画系論文集, vol.85, No.778, pp.2795-2805, 2020.12 後藤沙羅, 末包伸吾, 増岡亮：伊丹潤の言説における【現代日本】の《自然》, 《人間の精神》, 《都市》に関する建築思想, 同上, vol.86, no.786, pp.2189-2200, 2021.8
