Solution and diffusion process of carbon dioxide (CO2) in seawater is important in the research and development of CO2 ocean sequestration technology to mitigate global warming. In this study, solution and diffusion process of single CO2 bubble in seawater and pure water were experimentally studied under various pressures and temperatures to evaluate the transport process of CO2 in seawater. The solution process was conducted in a test vessel. CO2 bubble was generated by a CO2 bubble generator installed at the bottom of the vessel. The diameter of CO2 bubble was recorded using a high speed video camera. The pressure and temperature of liquids were measured by using a pressure transducer and thermocouples. Experimental conditions for the temperature ranged from 277 K to 297 K, and the pressure ranged from around 101 kPa up to 400 kPa. It was obtained that the complete solution time decreases with the increase in pressure due to its higher solubility at a higher pressure. It decreases with an increase in temperature arising from a higher diffusivity at a high temperature. It was clarified that the complete solution time for CO2 in seawater is longer than that in pure water due to its relatively lower solubility compared with pure water.

Thermal characteristics of phase change materials (PCMs) were investigated experimentally to construct a fundamental database of thermal storage systems for waste heat recovery in this study. Sodium acetate trihydrate and D-mannitol which have relatively high latent heats were selected as PCMs. The heat inputs from a cartridge heater were varied from 5 to 15 W in the experiment. As a result, thermal stratification appeared in the vertical direction in the case of sodium acetate trihydrate. On the other hand, the temperature distribution of D-mannitol was not stratified because of the weaker natural convection than the case of sodium acetate trihydrate. Also, the solidification characteristics were investigated in this study. It was clarified that the degree of super cooling of D-mannitol was lower than that of sodium acetate trihydate. In addition, the thermal analyses of the chosen PCMs were conducted by thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA). Results of DTA show that the down peak of D-Mannitol was lower than that of sodium acetate trihydrate. Furthermore, the TG of D-Mannitol did not decrease at temperatures of 298.15 K to 458.15K.

- Forced convection transient heat transfer coefficients due to exponentially increasing heat input were measured for helium gas and carbon dioxide gas flowing over a partially twisted heater. A partially twisted platinum plate with a thickness of 0.1 mm was heated by electric current and used as the test heater. The gas flow velocities ranged from 1 to 10 m/s, the gas temperatures ranged from 313 K to 353 K, and the periods of heat generation rate ranged from 46 ms to 17 s. The study showed a strong enhancement in the heat transfer coefficient for the twisted heater over that of a plate heater. Compared with those of a plate heater, the heat transfer coefficients of helium gas and carbon dioxide gas were enhanced 13 % and 28 %, respectively. - The pool boiling CHFs were investigated to clarify the generalized phenomena of transition to film boiling at transient condition. The CHFs were measured on a 1.0 mm diameter platinum horizontal cylinder for exponential heat generation rates with various periods for saturated liquids at atmospheric pressure. The incipience of boiling processes was completely different depending on pre-pressurization. Also, the dependence on pre-pressurization in transient CHFs changed due to the wettability of boiling liquids. The trend of typical CHFs were clearly divided into the first, second, and third groups for long, short, and intermediate periods, respectively. - The knowledge for saturated and subcooled pool boiling CHF mechanisms is becoming increasingly important as the fundamental database for the design such as the high heat flux cooling systems using subcooled liquid pool boiling, the thermal control system of microelectronic assemblies and so on. Steady-state and transient boiling heat transfer characteristics for highly wetting liquid due to an exponentially increasing heat input with time have been investigated. Steady-state and transient critical heat fluxes (CHFs) were measured by using a 1.0 mm-diameter horizontal cylinder in a pool of highly wetting liquid such as ethanol with periods ranging from about 10 ms to 20s for wide ranges of subcooling and pressure. The transient CHFs depending on the periods were divided into two principal groups: the first one was in long period and the CHF occurred with fully developed nucleate boiling heat transfer processes, and the second one was in short period with explosive boiling heat transfer processes from non-boiling and the direct transition to film boiling occurred. - Forced convection transient heat transfer for helium gas at various periods of exponential increase of heat input to a horizontal cylinder and a plate (ribbon) was experimentally and theoretically studied. In the experimental studies, the authors measured heat flux, surface temperature, and transient heat transfer coefficients for forced convection flow of helium gas over a horizontal cylinder and a plate (ribbon) under wide experimental conditions. Empirical correlations for quasi-steady-state heat transfer and transient heat transfer were obtained based on the experimental data. In the theoretical study, transient heat transfer was numerically solved based on a turbulent flow model. - Pool boiling CHFs for a highly wetting liquid due to steady state and transient heat input were studied. Boiling heat transfer processes on a platinum cylinder in a pool of ethanol due to exponentially increasing heat inputs, Q=Q0exp(t/τ), ranging from quasi-steadily increasing one to rapidly increasing one with periods, τ were measured for a 1.0-mm diameter horizontal cylinder with different surface roughness of commercially-available or roughly-finished surface cylinders for saturated and subcooled liquid at various pressures. Steady-state CHFs at various pressures gradually increased with an increase in subcooling. It was confirmed that the CHFs for lower subcoolings at every pressure almost show little dependence on surface roughness. However the CHF data for the roughly-finished one in many cases were increased for higher subcoolings over pressures. Typical trends of the CHFs were clarified to three groups corresponding to periods: the 1st, 2nd and 3rd groups of CHF were for longer periods, for shorter and for intermediate ones, respectively. It was clarified that the transient CHFs belonging to the 2nd and 3rd group were significantly affected by the surface roughness of cylinders. - Critical heat fluxes (CHFs) in a pool of Fluorinert FC-72 were measured for period from transient heat inputs up to steady-state ones. Measurements were made using 1.0 mm diameter of platinum and gold horizontal cylinders in wide ranges of liquid subcoolings and pressures. The steady-state CHFs for saturated condition almost agree with the hydrodynamic instability (HI) model. However, in higher subcoolings, the increasing rate of steady-state CHFs is lower than HI model and it was suggested due to the heterogeneous spontaneous nucleation (HSN). The CHFs for period are clearly categorized into the first, second, and third groups for long, short, and intermediate periods, respectively. Transient CHFs on semi-direct and direct transitions from non-boiling heat conduction to film boiling, exist predominantly during short periods. Those transition processes were assumed due to the explosive-like HSN in originally flooded cavities on cylinder surface. - About Pool Boiling CHF in Different Wettability LiquidsThis study deals with critical heat flux that occurs in boiling heat transfer while transient heat input as itincreased in a exponential function with time in a pool of water and well wetting liquid, ethanol. - In this study, the steady-state and transient critical heat fluxes (CHFs) were measured on 1.0 mm diameter horizontal cylinders of gold and platinum heaters under saturated conditions due to transient heat inputs, Q0exp(t/τ), in a pool of Fluorinert FC-72. Heaters were heated by electric current with the periods, τ, were ranged from 10 ms to 20 s, and the pressures ranging from atmospheric up to around 1.2 MPa. The steady-state CHFs are dependent on pressure and almost agree with the values obtained by Kutateladze's correlation based on hydrodynamic instability (HI) model. It was considered that the boiling inception and the direct transition during the steady-state period occur by the pre-pressure of = 1.2 MPa. The trend of typical transient CHFs were clearly divided into the first, second, and third groups for long, short, and intermediate periods, respectively. The direct transition process to film boiling without nucleate boiling for the short period was confirmed due to the heterogeneous spontaneous nucleation (HSN) in originally flooded cavities on the cylinder surface. - Subcooled Pool Boiling CHF in EthanolSteady-state and transient critical heat fluxes (CHFs) were measured using a 1.0 mm diameter horizontal cylinder in a pool of highly wetting liquid, such as ethanol, due to steady and transient heat generation rate for wide range of subcoolings and pressures. Boiling CHF was assumed to happen based on a kind of hydrodynamic instability (HI) at CHF, and the model is supposed that the increase in vapor generation from the cylinder surface causes a limit of the steady-state vapor escape flow when CHF occurs. However, it has been understood that the CHF value changes systematically depending on experimental conditions according to a series of experiment. As the reason, a large part of the transition processes to film boiling at CHF highly subcooled liquid at high pressure was not explained by the mechanism of heat transfer crisis based on the HI model. Another mechanism assumed is that the transition occurs due to the explosive-like heterogeneous spontaneous nucleation (HSN) in originally flooded cavities on the cylinder surface in liquid. - Carbon dioxide (CO_2) ocean sequestration technologies, such as dissolution into seawater, are important to promote protection of the global environment. In this study, the solution process of CO_2 gas in seawater and pure water was experimentally studied under various pressures and temperatures to evaluate the solubilities of CO_2 in seawater. The solubilities of CO_2 in seawater and pure water were measured by the change in pressure due to absorption at pressures up to 1500 kPa and temperatures ranging from 20℃ to 60℃. We found that the solubilities of CO_2 were between 0.27×10^<-3> and 5.45kakeru×10^<-3> in seawater, and between 0.26×10^<-3> and 0.6×10<-3> in pure water near atmospheric pressure. They increase with an increase in pressure, but decrease with an increase in temperature. The Henry's law constant of CO_2 was about 200 Mpa at a temperature of 20℃ in seawater under 500 kPa, and increased with an increase in temperature. The solubility of CO_2 in seawater was lower than that in pure water. - Thermal energy conversion systems for ships on the environment in ocean are commonly limited by the space or equipment. It is very important to make more effective use of the energy systems such as heat exchangers. For the purpose of the improvement of performance for these energy systems, the utilization of boiling heat transfer is the most effective method to solve these kinds of problems. It is important to make the best of existing energy conversion technology for the utilization of boiling heat transfer. Steady-state and transient critical heat fluxes (CHFs) were measured by using a 1.0 mm-diameter horizontal cylinder in a pool of water and highly wetting liquid such as ethanol with a period ranging from about 10 ms to 20s for wide ranges of subcooling and pressure. The transient CHFs depending on the periods were divided into two principal groups: the first one was in long period and the CHF occurred with fully developed nucleate boiling heat transfer processes, and the second one was in short period with explosive boiling heat transfer processes from non-boiling and the direct transition to film boiling occurred. The CHFs increase with an increase in subcooling at pressures and they are independent of pressures at high subcoolings. A large part of the transition processes to film boiling at CHFs for highly subcooled liquid measured can not be explained by the mechanism based on the conventional hydrodynamic instability (HI) model. However, the transition processes to film boiling at high subcooling can be explained by the heterogeneous spontaneous nucleation (HSN) model suggested by Sakurai et al.. In the HSN model, it is assumed that the transition occurs due to the explosive boiling in originally flooded cavities on the solid surface in liquid. - A liquid-phase methanol synthesis and decomposition process was proposed to recover wasted or unused discharged heat from industrial sources for the thermal energy demands of residential and commercial areas by chemical reactions. This paper summarized five fundamental researches and their results of the development of liquid phase reactor (heat exchanger accompanying chemical reaction), which are important to the methanol system. The five researches are as follows. (1) To evaluate the effect of transport process in the whole reaction process, the transport process of carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen (H2) gases in liquid phase methanol and methyl formate were studied. The fundamental data of transport process, such as solubility and diffusion coefficient, were obtained. (2) Solution and diffusion processes of single CO bubbles in liquid phase methanol were theoretically and experimentally studied under various pressures and temperatures. (3) The chemical reaction rate of methanol synthesis by hydrogenolysis of methyl formate was measured using a plate-type of Raney copper catalyst. The effect of thickness of Raney copper catalyst on the liquid-phase chemical reaction rate were investigated by varying the development time of the catalyst. (4) Investigation results of the catalyst such as surface area, pore radius, lattice size, and photographs of scanning electron microscope (SEM) were also obtained. - The knowledge of forced convection transient heat transfer at various periods of exponentially increasing heat input to a heater is important as a database for understanding the transient heat transfer process in a high temperature gas cooled reactor (HTGR) due to an accident in excess reactivity. In this study, the transient heat transfer coefficients for Helium, Argon, Air, and Nitrogen gases flowing perpendicular to a horizontal cylinder were measured in the low-Reynolds-number region. The platinum heater with a diameter of 1.0 mm was heated by electric current with an exponentially increase of Q0exp (t/τ) . It was clarified that the heat transfer coefficient approaches the quasi-steady-state one for the period τ over around 1 s, and it becomes higher for the period of τ shorter than about 1 s. Though the transient heat transfer region is influenced by both convection and the conductive heat transfer in the quasi-steady state heat transfer region, the conductive heat transfer becomes predominant as the period becomes short, especially in the region of within 200 ms. The transient heat transfer shows less dependent on the gas flowing velocity when the period becomes very short. Based on the experimental data, the ratio of transient heat transfer to the quasi-steady-state one was correlated as a function of Reynolds number of the gas flow and the non-dimensional period of increasing heat input. - 化学反応熱交換器における輸送過程の役割と輸送現象の重要性を詳細に検討するために,広い圧力と温度範囲内において,液相メタノール中への一酸化炭素ガスの溶解と拡散実験を行い,拡散係数を実験的に求めた。また,メタノール中に静止する単一一酸化炭素気泡の溶解・拡散過程について,理論モデルに基づいた数値解析と実験的研究を行った。数値解析結果として,単一気泡の溶解速度は温度,拡散係数,ヘンリー定数,初期気泡径などのパラメータに影響される。特に温度の上昇が反応速度を増加させ,溶解を促進させる。化学反応により気泡の溶解が加速されるので,輸送過程を促進することで溶解過程も含めた全体の反応速度を上げられる余地のあることが解った。The Japan Institute of Marine Engineering, Oct. 2000, 日本舶用機関学会誌, 35(10) (10), pp.696 - 704, Japanese[Refereed]Scientific journal

- Solution process of CO gas in liquid phase methyl formate and methanol was experimentally studied under various pressures and temperatures to evaluate the transport effect of CO gas in the liquids in a two-step methanol synthesis process which starts with carbonylation of methanol to methyl formate, then followed by the hydrogenolysis of the formate. The solubility of carbon monoxide in liquid phase methyl formate and methanol were measured by the decrease in pressure due to absorption at pressures up to 1700 kPa and temperatures form 20 to 140°C. It was obtained that the solubilities were between 3.1×10-3 and 11.5×10-3 for CO in methyl formate, and between 4×10-4 and 10.7×10-3 for CO in methanol. The Henry's law constant was about 160 MPa at a temperature of 20°C for CO in methyl formate, and about 250 MPa at temperatures under 100°C and pressures under 1000 kPa for CO in methanol. The Henry's law constant decreased with the increase of temperature. - 602 Effect of Pre-pressurization on Boiling Heat Transfer and Critical Heat Flux on Horizontal Vertically-Oriented RibbonThis study aims to examine the boiling heat transfer and CHF caused by exponentially increasing heat inputs, Q = Q_0 exp(t/τ), to a horizontal vertically-oriented platinum ribbon in a pool of water at atmospheric and saturated condition on the effect of pre- pressurization. Q_0, t and τ are initial heat generation rate, time and period, respectively. The two conditions of pre-pressure such as without and with pre-pressure up to 4.4 MPa are carried out before each experimental run. The exponential period was varied from 10 ms to 20 s. The boiling initiation and CHF occur due to heterogeneous spontaneous nucleation (HSN) by pre-pressurization. The HSN depends on surface condition. In this study, the platinum ribbon has the conditions of the surface roughness, Ra of 0.22 ± 0.02 μm and contact angle, θ, of 51.5 ± 0.7°, respectively. - C142 Experimental and Theoretical Study on Transient Heat Transfer for Forced Convection Flow of Helium Gas over a Twisted Plate with Different LengthForced convection transient heat transfer for helium gas flowing over a twisted plate with different length was experimentally and theoretically studied. The heat generation rate of the twisted plate was increased with a function of Q=Q_0 exp(t/τ) (where t is time, τ is period). Experiment was carried out for three kinds of effective length of 26.8, 67.8 and 106.4 mm at various periods ranged from 35 ms to 13 s and at gas temperature of 303 K under 500 kPa. The flow velocities ranged from 4 m/s to 10 m/s. It was found that average heat transfer coefficient becomes higher with the increase of flow velocity and decreases with the increase of plate length under the same period of heat generation rate. - The sound development of knowledge for generalized saturated and subcooled pool boiling critical heat flux (CHF) mechanisms and corresponding correlations for various test heater configurations and surface conditions in water and other wetting liquids are becoming increasingly important as the fundamental database not only for the design such as the high heat flux cooling systems using subcooled water pool boiling, but for the super-conducting magnets cooled by liquid helium and liquid nitrogen, the thermal control of microelectronic assemblies cooled FC liquids for future super-computers. Firstly, the subcooled pool boiling CHF data measured using test horizontal cylinders were investigated to clarify the effect of test cylinder diameters in water and ethanol on the CHF. The CHF data for larger diameter cylinders were clearly divided into two groups for low and high subcooling. The CHF correlations representing the CHF resulting from the hydrodynamic instability (HI), and the heterogeneous spontaneous nucleation (HSN), were derived for the wide ranges of subcooling and pressure including the effect of test cylinder diameter respectively. Secondly, it was observed experimentally that there existed the CHF resulting from HI measured for the same size horizontal cylinders with commercial, rough and mirror surfaces (CS, RS and MS) in a pool of water which agreed with one another independently of the surface conditions at lower pressures for lower subcooling. - E134 Incipient Boiling and CHF Surface Superheats on Gold Surface in FC-72The surface superheats at incipient boiling and critical heat flux (CHF) due to transient heat inputs have been measured on horizontal gold cylinder surface with a diameter of 1.0mm. Measurements were made under a wide range of pressures and subcoolings ranged from atmospheric up to 1082kPa and from saturated condition up to 140K, respectively. It was observed in high subcooling that the incipient boiling surface superheat, ΔT_i, is higher than the CHF surface superheat, ΔT_c, The ΔT_i and ΔT_c for direct transition and semi-direct transition processes show an almost constant value. - 823 Study of Sequestration of CO_2 in the OceanCarbon dioxide (CO_2) ocean sequestration technologies, such as dissolution into seawater, are important to promote protection of the global environment. In this study, the solution process of CO_2 gas in seawater was experimentally studied under various pressures and temperatures to evaluate the solubility of CO_2 in ocean. The solubility of CO_2 in seawater was measured by a change in pressure due to absorption at pressures up to 2000 kPa and the temperatures ranged from 4℃ to 60℃. It was obtained that the solubility of CO_2 was between 0.27×10^<-3> and 8.77×10^<-3> in seawater near atmospheric pressure. They increase with an increase in pressure, but decrease with an increase in temperature. The Henry's law constant of CO_2 was about 120 MPa at a temperature of 4℃ in seawater under atmospheric pressure, and increased with an increase in temperature. The solubility of CO_2 in seawater was lower than that in pure water. It is very important to reduce green house gases. In this research, first, the performance tests of the system were carried out for estimating system with enthalpy analysis. - 1201 Effects of Surface Condition on Transient Pool Boiling CHF with Different MechanismsThe sound development of knowledge for generalized saturated and subcooled pool boiling CHF mechanisms and those correlations for test heater surface conditions in water and wetting liquid such as Fluorinert etc. are becoming increasingly important as the fundamental database for not only the design of high heat flux cooling system recently needed but also the derivation of subcooled flow boiling CHF correlations based on the pool boiling ones. Recently the saturated and subcooled pool boiling CHF for a horizontal cylinder in water and wetting liquids such as liquid nitrogen, liquid helium etc. were measured for comparatively wide ranges of pressure and subcooling. It was clarified that the CHFs measured were mainly divided into two groups for lower and higher subcooling at a pressure as a typical case. It was assumed that the former and latter CHFs occur due to hydrodynamic instability (HI) and explosive-like heterogeneous spontaneous nucleation (HSN) on the cylinder surface respectively. The transient forced convection heat transfer in the flow of helium gas parallel to a horizontal cylinder was experimentally studied, and the effects of the velocity and period of heat generation rate were previously reported by the authors. - 618 Effects of Diameter of Test Heater and Period of Heat Generation Rate on Quasi-steady-state and Transient Heat Transfer for Forced Convection Flow of Helium Gas over a Horizontal CylinderThe knowledge of forced convection transient heat transfer at various periods of exponential increase of heat input to a heater is important as a database for understanding the transient heat transfer process in a high temperature gas cooled reactor (HTGR) due to an accident in excess reactivity. The transient heat transfer coefficients for forced convection flow of helium gas over a horizontal cylinder were measured using a forced convection test loop. The platinum heaters with diameters of 0.7mm, 1.0mm, 2.0mm are heated by electric current with an exponential increase of Q_0exp(t/π). It was clarified that the heat transfer coefficient decreases when the diameter of test heater becomes larger, and it increases when the diameter of test heater becomes smaller. - Thermal Energy Transport System by the Use of MethanolIn this paper, the study on thermal energy transport system by synthesis and decomposition reactions of methanol was reviewed. To promote energy conservation and global environment protection, a two-step liquid-phase methanol synthesis process, which starts with carbonylation of methanol to methyl formate, then followed by the hydrogenolysis of the formate, was studied to recover wasted or unused discharged heat from industrial sources for the thermal energy demands of residential and commercial areas by chemical reactions. The research and development of the system were focused on the following three points. - Effect of Density-Induced Natural Convection on Solution of a Bubble under a PlateThe solution process of a single gas bubble in liquid was simulated by directly solving gas diffusion equation in liquid, the vorticity transport equation and the Poisson equation for the stream function in order to estimate the effect of natural convection due to the difference in concentration on the solution process. Solution times of a single gas bubble under a plate were measured experimentally in order to estimate the diffusion coefficient of gas in liquid. Both the experimental and theoretical results reveal that solution time is affected by the natural convection due to the concentration difference in the case of large initial bubble radius. - International Conference on Power Engineering (ICOPE-2001), Oct. 2001, English, 省エネルギーと環境保全のため,メタノールの分解・合成反応を用いた研究・開発についてレビューした。ギ酸メチル分解反応・合成反応に関しては,開発目的に合致した有望な触媒が開発されつつあるが,メタノール分解反応,合成反応に関しては,課題が多いこと。ギ酸メチルの水素化反応によるメタノールの合成実験から,触媒内部の物質輸送がメタノール生成の律速段階になっていること。ギ酸メチルを介在する2段階液相メタノール分解・合成反応によるエネルギーシステムを取り入れることにより,より経済的なエネルギー輸送システムの構築が可能であることが期待できることを示した。, International conferenceA Review of Study on Thermal Energy Transport System by Synthesis and Decomposition Reaction of MethanolOral presentation

- 日本学術振興会, 科学研究費助成事業, 基盤研究(C), 神戸大学, 01 Apr. 2023 - 31 Mar. 2027地球環境問題の解決に貢献する海水における二酸化炭素の物質輸送特性の解明海水における二酸化炭素の物質輸送特性を解明するため,本研究では,最大4 MPa の圧力および277 K から298 K の温度範囲で収集したデータから海水中の二酸化炭素(CO2)の溶解度を求めた。測定方法が吸収に伴う圧力変化による測定法である。CO2 のモル分率溶解度は,2.0 MPa~4.0 MPaの圧力で10のマイナス2乗のオーダーとなっている。圧力が増加すると溶解度は増加し,温度が増加すると減少する。CO2のヘンリー定数は,圧力が3.0 MPa,温度が283 Kの海水では 240 MPaで,圧力が4.0 MPa,温度が298 Kでは390 MPaであった。最大4.0 MPaまでの種々圧力範囲での実験データを用いて,海水におけるCO2 のヘンリー定数の相関式を求めた。また,溶解拡散容器及びCO2気泡発射器を用い,単一CO2気泡の溶解拡散過程を観察し,純水におけるCO2気泡の溶解時間を測定した。具体的に溶解拡散容器には2つの石英ガラス製の観察窓が取り付けられており,高速CCDカメラより気泡径の経時変化を観察・測定することができる。発射器のCO2容器内の圧力と水の入った容器内の水の圧力との圧力差を精密差圧計により計測した。さらに,容器内の圧力は歪み式圧力センサーで測定し,液体の温度はKタイプシース熱電対で測定した。なお,容器内の温度を制御するために容器内には,ステンレス製冷却コイルが内蔵されており,低温恒温槽 の冷却液を循環させることにより容器内の温度を制御している。容器上部にはマグネット式攪拌装置が取り付けられている。種々圧力・温度条件下における水への気泡溶解時間から,圧力,温度のパラメータの影響を調べた。水の温度の上昇に伴って気泡の溶解時間が短くなり圧力が高いほど溶解時間が短くなる傾向が見られた。また,初期気泡径が大きくなると,溶解時間も長くなることが判明した。

The results compared with corresponding data for the cylinder with commercial surface already obtained for the same experimental conditions. The CHF values for rough surface were good agreement with those obtained by the correlation corresponding to commercial surface based on hydrodynamic instability (HI) and heterogeneous spontaneous nucleation (HSN) curves. 2.Research on high heat flux boiling on horizontal test heater with various surface conditions in various wetting liquids Steady-state and transient CHFs were measured by using a horizontal cylinder in a pool of water and highly wetting liquid such as Ethanol with various periods for wide ranges of subcooling and pressure. The steady-state CHFs were expressed by the correlation base on heterogeneous spontaneous nucleation at various pressures. The transient CHFs depending on the periods were divided into two principal groups. The CHFs increase with an increase in subcooling at pressures and they are independent of pressures at high subcoolings. 3.Research on transient boiling due to rapid depressurization on horizontal heater in a pool of wetting liquid The characteristics of the transient boiling processes for the transitions from the initial heat fluxes in natural convection and nucleate boiling regimes to film boiling regime caused by the exponentially decreasing system pressures using measured heat transfer processes for ethanol including transient CHFs caused by the rapid depressurizations decreasing exponentially with the periods were clarified. 4.Research on subcooled flow boiling CHF with high heat flux enhancement. In the relation of deep research, the subcooled water flow boiling CHFs versus outlet subcoolings for a flow velocity with outlet pressures as a parameter in the horizontal and vertical tubes with enhancement having flowing subcooled water were clarified using the existing databases expanding quite recently derived the correlations representing the subcooled water flow boiling CHF versus outlet subcooling in tubes with various tube inside diameter and length-to-diameter ratios for a flow velocity with outlet pressure as a parameter.
- 日本学術振興会, 科学研究費助成事業, 若手研究(B), 神戸大学(海事科学部), 2002 - 2003メタノールを用いた熱エネルギー輸送システムにおける熱交換過程及び熱輸送効率の解析本年度では,メタノールによる熱エネルギー輸送システムの熱輸送過程について,液相におけるガスの輸送過程とシステムの輸送効率についてシミュレーションを行った。また,化学反応を伴う熱交換器の最適設計の基礎データとして,ガスの伝熱特性を検討した。 液相におけるガスの輸送過程について,液相メタノールにおける一酸化炭素気泡の溶解・拡散過程をシミュレーションした。その結果,初期気泡径が約0.25mm以内にある場合,実験値と数値解析値とはよく一致しているが,気泡径がそれより大きくなると,密度差に基づく対流のため気泡が早く溶解することになる。そして,メタノール,蟻酸メチル,水素,一酸化炭素に関する気液平衡,溶解平衡のデータを用い,メタノールシステムのシミュレーションを行い,分解-輸送-合成のプロセスシミュレーションより反応率と熱輸送効率の関係を明確化した。その結果,熱輸送効率は反応速度と共に増加し,反応率が90%では,熱輸送効率は75%であった。主たるエネルギー損失は熱回収部での蒸留操作並びに昇圧操作であった。エネルギー輸送方法として,蟻酸メチルを介在した2段階メタノール合成法,メタノールー段法,蒸気,高温水,電力輸送などが考えられる。輸送距離が30キロとした場合,温熱利用(60℃)時の熱輸送効率はメタノール2段法が優れていることが解った。従って,従来の技術に対比して,より経済的なエネルギー輸送システム構造が可能と期待される。さらに,水素,一酸化炭素ガスなどの熱輸送特性を解明するため,ヘリウムガスを用い,ガスの定常並びに非定常強制対流伝熱係数を測定し,流速,温度等の影響を明らかにした。熱伝達率はレイノルズ数の0.5乗に比例して増加することが解った。これらの基礎的データは将来化学反応を伴う熱交換器の最適設計に寄与できると考える。
