  新型コロナ禍により長らく現地調査を行う事が出来なかったが、昨年秋より調査地である韓国への渡航が可能となり、ようやく今年3月に本格的な研究調査を実施する事ができた。調査対象は「日本軍性奴隷制問題解決のための正義記憶連帯」、「民族問題研究所」、「独島守護隊」等の民間団体や、「東北アジア歴史財団」、「日帝強制動員被害者支援財団」等の公共団体、更には、日韓関係に関わる活動を行う複数の研究者の多岐にわたるものとなった。その結果として得られた調査データ、とりわけインタビューによるものについては、文字起こしをした後、現在既に検討の作業に入っている。 また、研究内容の公表については既に出版社の了解を取り付け、研究代表者を編著者とする書籍の形で公表する形で準備が進んでいる。また、国際学会での報告に向けての申し込みも終えており、近くその結果が得られる予定である。
