    本研究課題は、平成30年度から助成を受けた基盤研究(C)「日本古代の畿内・近国における牧の総合的研究」において明らかにした「生産牧」「備蓄牧」に「中継牧」「名目牧」と類別する牧を加え、古代の牧の実態および存在意義についてより複合的に解明せんとするものである。その１年目にあたる令和4年度は「中継牧」に重点を置き、古代官道と馬の利用についての知見を得ることから研究に着手した。 研究会において、研究協力者の山中章氏より、発掘調査などによる考古学分野からの鈴鹿関・不破関の復元的研究についての発表をして頂き、軍事施設である関に伴う馬の飼育空間について意見交換し、成果をメンバーで共有した。その情報共有を踏まえて、古代山陽道の駅家である草上駅・邑智駅(兵庫県姫路市)、布勢駅(たつの市)、高田駅(上郡町)、安芸駅(広島県府中町)の各推定地を巡見し、鈴鹿関・不破関の復元案と、各駅家との立地・地形を比較検討した。 併せて、天皇の御馬を放牧したことが文献から知られる播磨国家島牧(兵庫県姫路市家島)も巡見した。既に知られるように、家島には古墳や製塩遺跡、延喜式内社があり、歴史的にも重要な意味を持つことが推量される。60疋の御馬を平安京から山陽道を通って家島へと歩かせる行列を道中で見せ、京へ向かう海上通行者に対して畿内へ入る手前で天皇の御牧を見せつけることは、天皇による示威行為に他ならない。家島は備蓄牧に類別できるが、牧には示威という機能も加味して考えることが重要との認識を得た。

    Regarding Todaiji, an important temple, there are many unknown points in the situation of the Nara and Heian period. "Todaiji Yoroku" is the most basic historical material to know the real image of Todaiji temple in this era. In this project, we reexamined the "Todaiji Yoroku Conference" from the current research level and tried to compile the research from various interdisciplinary fields and draw a new Todaiji temple history. We held "Todaiji Yoroku Conference " 16 times (report number 87) and supplementary research group 40 times, and write the contents of the research presentation as a paper, and publish it as a total of three books "Todaiji new research" I made a plan. Two of them have been published as "Todaiji Temple Art and Archaea", "Todaiji Temple in History" (Hozokan). We will also make diligent efforts to publish the remaining volume.

    Osaka that is metropolis of Japan repeated growth and the decline, reproduction. The center of Osaka is Uemachi upland and the outskirts. There are several thousand excavation and borling data until now, and, in this area, much historical materials remain. In this collaborative investigation, we utilized GIS (geographical information system) from those data and restored the detailed paleoenvironment of each time. Then, from paleoenvironment restored to the original state, we searched the city formation of each time and the actual situation of the city planning. As a result, we understood that the city planning of each time and the maintenance of the infrastructure had a strong relation with environment such as the topography or the vegetation. In addition, including Naniwa-Kyo (ancient city of 7-8 centuries), we understood that the city planning of former ages was succeeded for a long time in after ages.

  • Archaeological and Historical Study on the Background aboutFoundation of Temples and Regional Folklores: In the Case of Ancientand Medieval

    It is well known that there are various regional folklore in Harima province. The present study aims to examine the characteristics of ancient and medieval Buddhistic culture and its social backgrounds in the case of the folklore about Indian Taoist Houdou-Sennin, who was believed as a great temple founder in Harima. In this study we focus on three problems as follows; (1) archaeological and historical survey on the relationship between Kohun(old mounded tombs) and ancient temples in this area 7th - 8th century, (2) historical survey on medieval temples and its foundational legends, (3) regional folklores and historical landscape which represents them. As a result, we got various data on the distribution of stone coffins, medieval temples and legendary places connecting with Houdou-Sennin in Hyogo prefecture, and we obtained some new hypotheses that the folklore of Housou-Sennin is closely related ancient megalith worship and regional mason.

  • Synthetic Research on the International Character of the Naniwa Palace and the Ancient Naniwa in East Asia

    In this study, we investigated international character of ancient Naniwa in present Osaka prefecture from the 5th century to the 8th century thoroughly. The main themes were two of the following. (1) The studies of the Naniwa Capital and Naniwa-no-miya Palace which made the origin of the Japanese ancient royal palace, and the studies of the capital and royal palace in China and Korea. (2) The studies of various products of foreign countries, for example China and Korea, in ancient Naniwa. We placed ancient Naniwa through these studies before the history of East Asia and clarified the internationality.

  • 七世紀倭王権における支配者集団統合儀礼の研究

    研究の最終年度(第3年度)にあたり、これまで2年間にわたって検討を行ってきた、7世紀倭王権の統合論理と仏教の関係を引きつづき検討を行った。あわせて、これまで充分に検討を行い得なかった、神祇的祭祀と倭王権の関係の検討を行った。また、7世紀段階の政権の所在地である飛鳥の構造について、宮都中枢部とその周縁部の関係を構造的に把握するための検討を行った。これらの研究遂行にあたって必要な図書を購入し、また各地の遺跡踏査を行い、研究者との意見交換を行った。 昨年度までの研究を通じて、七世紀倭王権の統合論理を前代までの統合論理と比較し、その特質を明らかにする必要があることが認識されたが、この点についての検討を行い、両者の間には質的な相違があり、同列に論じ得ないことを主張できると考えた。次に、宮都の所在地の相違による統合中枢の相違にいかなる意味があるのかについて検討を行ったが、史料が比較的豊富な飛鳥・難波について行い得たにとどまり、大津については今後の課題とせざるを得なかった。第三に、七世紀倭王権の統合論理のその後の展開として、奈良時代以降の統合論理との比較が必要であることが認識されたが、この点について、聖武・孝謙・称徳期を中心に検討を行い、奈良時代における仏教中心の統合論理と、飛鳥時代の統合論理との共通点と相違点を確認した。 以上の研究成果は、次年度の公開を目標として、昨年度研究成果を中心にまとめた学位請求論文『七世紀倭王権における統合論理の研究』の補訂・修正を行った。
