    With the aim of better teaching effectiveness in programing courses, this study provides a framework to easily understand students’ coding progress using the data which is produced while they are coding. In particular, we explore the methods to find students who get stuck at coding and make little progress. In HTML courses for programing novices, we collected code revision history including the amount of code update and save times of students. In this paper, we discuss the usefulness of code revision history to understand students’ coding progress by describing coding patterns revealed by the analysis of the data, characteristics of coding progress and scalability for programing courses.

  • Difference on Visual Related Programming Understanding between Designers and Programmers by Using a Programmed Contents Comparison Method

    The main objective of this research is to look for a difference on programming understanding between Graphic Designers, Game Designers and Programmers. We propose a method whereby comparing 2 displayed images and interactive animations produced by programming samples (problems) a subject decides which one of the programs is more difficult to build with programming than the other, or, if the difficulty is similar; to solve this problems, two types of understanding are needed: one regarding the visual processing of the two pictures, and the second regarding the program making those images. The problems of this method were built considering those two types of understanding. We built a testing system based on this method and performed an experiment using this system with three groups of students: Game Software (GS), Graphic Design (GD) and IT.

    Although applying diverse ICT systems on university's industrial activities has become observable recently, seldom studies on their evaluation were reported. Meanwhile, from the interviews with on-campus researchers, we found the questionnaire-based evaluation difficult without clearly defining the performance indicators as well as specific factors of the information delivery from liaison office to researchers. Thus in this study, we tried constructing an evaluation method targeting such problems, with special concerns to university's organizational and cultural characteristics.
    Through the case study on Kobe University, we found this evaluation method help predict the performance of ICT use in particular regarding researchers' awareness of industrial activities and how liaison office is delivering information. Hence this evaluation method may contribute to the investigation of how to efficiently use ICT corresponding liaison office's information strategies.

  • Semantic Web Page Scoring Based on Intention of Hyperlinks

    We propose a method for scoring a web page to which is reflected an intention of the corresponding hyperlinks. In this paper, we focus to the semantics of hyperlinks such that a web page author intends as a recommendation. Conventional web search engines, CLEVER and Google, recognize the meanings of all hyperlinks as the recommendations. In our Recommendation Linkage introduces a rating of recommendation that is specified by the author explicitly. Also, our scoring method use external factors that are not derived from web page contents and/or hyperlinks. Our proposing method is as follows. First, a user judges the scores of pages based on the external factors. Then, the score of a linked (destination) page is calculated by using some established recommendation linkages. Moreover, we show the propagation mechanism and algorithm of a base-page score via recommendation linkage.

  • Dynamic Web Page Reconfiguration Based on Active Rules

    In this paper, we propose an idea for reconfiguring web pages based on an accession to the pages and user's browsing history. The major objective of the proposed mechanism is the reflection of a web page author's intention about his web data. A reconfiguration rule for providing an appropriate web content including hyperlinks is described in a declarative manner, which the author can define easily. The ECA rule and our reconfiguration rule look apparently alike, but they have some differences. And more, we propose an implementation method for the web page reconfiguration using a XML expression.

  • Situation Depend Link Based on Semantic Information Unit on the Web Graph

    本論は，ハイパーテキスト文書の意味的なまとまりを製作者自身が定義し，製作者の意図どおりに利用者を閲覧させることを目的とする．そのため，製作者が予め意味的なまとまりとして意味的情報単位を定義でき，製作者の意図どおりに利用者を閲覧させることができるリンク機構を提案する．このアプローチは利用者が膨大な経路候補を情報検索システムから得て，その梗概から次の情報資源を選択するだけではなく，製作者側から経路候補を提供することで，発信される情報の意味を利用者に誤解され難くすることを目的としている．In this paper, we suggest a concept of the Semantic Information Unit. It is an idea to show the users into the web site as the hypertext documents editor hopes. A semantic information unit is a collection of documents and be put on some meenings by editor. We understand it as a path and the link structuer should be changed based on user navigation dynamically. Therefore we propose the situation depend link structure to realize the semantic information unit. Then hypertext document editors can get the power of expression to define the path of user navigation as semantic information unit explicitly.

    レシピサイトからユーザ所望のレシピを検索する，レシピ選択行動を支援するための調理結果味覚情報提示方法について報告する．著者らは，食感表現の一つであるテクスチャを用いてレシピのレビューを集約することで，利用者が自身の調理結果を容易に想像できるレシピの味覚情報提示方法を開発してきた．本稿では，レシピ検索キーワードとして日本語食感表現（テクスチャ）を利用可能としたレビュー内検索を導入し，多数のレビューを持つような人気レシピの調理結果を視覚的に把握できる検索結果表示方法を示す．さらに，検索結果集合の比較を容易にするための提示方法ならびに可視化方法について論じる．

    本論文では，訪日旅行客と日本在住者が関心をもつ事象や場所の比較・分析を行うためのシステムを開発することを目的とする．「写真を撮影し投稿するということは，その地点に関心を引くものがある，またはその地点から関心を引くものを撮影できるということである」という点に注目して，写真投稿用SNS であるFlickr に投稿された写真に紐づけられた情報を利用した訪日旅行客の動向分析支援システムを開発する．開発したシステムでは，訪日旅行客であるか日本在住者であるかを自動判定し、属性による違いがある場所を発見して地図上に表示する。また、同地で撮影された写真を属性別に一覧表示する。

  • A visualization method of recipe information using texture from users' reviews

    利用者がレシピを参考にして調理した成果を直観的に想像できる表現方法の提供を目的とし，大量のレビュー（調理レポート）からテクスチャー表現を抽出・集計して可視化を行ったので報告する. レビューからテクスチャー表現を抽出するため，日本語テクスチャー445語と表記揺れを加えた全526語を用いてWordcloudやレーダーチャートなどによるレシピの可視化表現を得た．これにより利用者が更にレシピ提供サービスを利用しやすくなり、レシピの提供と利用のさらなる好循環が期待できる。

    相互監視社会において、個人情報の漏えいや炎上などのネットトラブルを避ける能力を身に付ける必要がある。SNSなどを利用することにより、その経験から身につく要素と経験からは身につかない要素、また、経時変化を伴う要素を特定すべくアンケート調査を行った。本報告ではTwitterに注目し、使用歴別にTwitterを使っているうちに身につく要素と使用歴に関わらず身につかない要素を区別し、経時変化については他人の画像や動画を添付したtweetに関してセキュリティ意識の鈍化の傾向をとらえ、ネット社会を生きるうえで啓発・教育すべき項目を特定する可能性を示した。

  • A Study for Store Search over a Virtual Shopping Mall by an Extension of Relational Algebra

    電子商店街の店舗業態はそのほとんどが小売である．小売という業態は，利用者が求める商品を扱うことはもとより，商品の仕様や他の関連製品との位置づけのような商品の情報ならびに利便性を提供することで対価を得る．電子商店街において利用者は電子商店街が用意した検索システムにより目的の商品を見つけることができる．また，単一の商品に対してある側面（価格や評価など）から整列することができる．これに加えて，「複数種類の商品を同じ店舗で購入したい」あるいは，「指定した店舗数で購入したい」といった要求を満足するような整列や検索結果の表示方法が提供できれば有用である．そこで，本論文はこのような要求に応えるための検索方法を関係代数を拡張することにより提案する．

    We have discussed about a calculation method for product search by using want lists. A want list of an individual user expresses his desire for purchasing. Users' explicit desire for purchasing should be used widely. Conventional product search engines can return lists of individual pair of item and store. Also, they provide some useful presentations about sort by price, store rating and so on. However, it has not become popular that system respond a demand that a user wants to buy more than one items at the same store, or wants to buy items from his specified numbers of stores. In this paper, we report a consideration about a calculation method to adapt the demands above.

  • Contents Reconfiguration and Site Consistency for Web Personalization

    Recently, Web pages are changed for real-time personalizations. We focus to relationships between pages reconfigured by the systems. Here, we notice the problems of Web page personalization. If a page is changed for personalization, another pages related to the page should be changed reflected to it. But changing contents of a page for personalization is stand alone, related pages are not changed or reconfigured at the same time. It is necessary to consider the consistency of a set of pages. In this paper, we discuss about complementation and consistency control for Web Personalization. Web personalization (and Adaptation) is essential to Business on network. We will discuss about problems of consistency of contents reconfigurations. Also, we should consider about soundness of site configuration. Mainly, our objectives are focused on commitment of user's navigation which he can understand the intentions of Web content author.

    Analysis of the link structure is one of a major ranking method of Web pages recently. Nevertheless, web surfers have to choose the pages to read from the result of the method. The web surfers consider latent credibilty of the authors and organizations that provides the pages. We propose a link-based page ranking method for reflecting this credibility. We consider the author's responsibility for the information of pages as a typical measure of credibility on a web site and evaluate the application of the method to a web site. The experimental result shows the validity of the assignment of our method for ranking the pages in a web site.

  • Schema Generation for Difference Discovery and Comparison of Semistructured Data

    In this paper, we suggest a comparison engine and schema generator for semistructured data. Our comparison engine discovers differences between semistructured data. The schema generator makes common schema of OEM graphs from semistructured data, semistructure data can be comparable. We assume that data with the same or similar property belong to the same category, we call these data "same field data". Difference between same-field data can be discovered from their OEM graphs by using its common schema. We use upper schema for discovering the difference on attribute values, lower schema for discovering that on structure. Moreover, visualization of difference are represented by the colored OEM graphs.

And we discuss an algorithm to implement the playback operation with synchronization.

  • A Framework of Describing Temporal Relationships among Multimedia Objects

    マルチメディアデータベースとは従来の文字・数値型のデータに加えて, テキスト, 図形, 画像, 音などの新しいタイプのデータを統合・管理できるデータベースである. 本論文では特にビデオや音といった時間的マルチメディアデータのモデル化とその実装法を論じている. 本論文ではこのようなデータは時区間オブジェクトとして表現されるが, 時区間としての時間的マルチメディアデータ間に存在するさまざまな時間的関連をクラス定義で陽に宣言できる方式を提案している. この方法はODMG-93オブジェクトモデルのオブジェクト定義言語のinverse関連宣言構文に上位互換となるように設計されている. この結果, ユーザは自分の定義したい時間的関連を任意に宣言でき, 前置コンパイラを通すことにより通常のオブジェクト指向データベース言語処理系で処理可能なコードに変換される. 一般に時間的マルチメディアオブジェクトは空時区間オブジェクトを使うと時間的関連equalsとmeetsを使用するだけですべて表現可能であることを示せる. そこで, 本論文後半ではこの結果に基づいて時間的複合マルチメディアオブジェクトの同期再生法を論じ, 関連の実装を議論している. その結果, 開始同期と個体同期の二つの同期スキームがあればすべての複合時間的マルチメディアオブジェクトの同期再生が可能であることを示している.

    音声オブジェクトや動画像オブジェクトなどの時間の経過と共にその属性値が変化するオブジェクトを時間的マルチメディアオブジェクトと呼ぶ.時間的マルチメディアオブジェクトの共通した性質として必ずその開始時刻(stp)と終了時刻(etp)があり,その間の時間幅の内に存在しているということがある.従って,時間的マルチメディアオブジェクトを閉時区間(time interval)と捉える.複数の時区間の間の関連はAllenによって調べられequals, meetsなど13種が存在する.しかし我々はこの13種の関連が空時区間を用いることによりequalsとmeetsのみで全て表せることを示した.また,時間的マルチメディアオブジェクトのクラス定義中で他の時間的マルチメディアオブジェクトとの間の時間的関連(temporal relationship)をODMG-93オブジェクトモデルで提案された参照制約の記述法を拡張して指定する概念を提案した.本論文ではマルチメデイアデータベースにおける時間的関連に基づく同期メカニズムとその実装を論じる.

    OMEGA is an object-oriented multimedia database management system which has been under development at the University of Library and Information Science. This paper reports the OMEGA temporal object model and its implementation. The paper is organized as follows : The first section introduces the major concepts underlying OMEGA. Section 2 presents the OMEGA data model and the temporal multimedia objects. Section 3 shows a way of expressing temporal multimedia objects. Section 4 discusses how to represent and manage relationships among temporal multimedia objects. Section 6 reports a part of the current implementation of temporal OMEGA system. Summary is given in section 7.

  • 日本語学習者によるテ形誤りの自動検出─形態素解析器を利用した誤り文の検出─

    計量国語学会第五十八回大会, Sep. 2014, Japanese, 東洋大学, 形態素解析器は入力された文が日本語として正しいことを想定し，辞書にない語(未知語)を含まない限り形態素に分割して，品詞や活用形などの形態素情報を付与する．我々は，このような品詞間の接続誤りに注目して，形容動詞の名詞修飾表現を例に誤用の自動検出手法を提案した．これは，誤用として想定される品詞間の接続に誤りがあるような文を検索するものである．例えば，「名詞-サ変+助動詞 特殊ダ 体言接続+名詞-一般」という品詞間の接続における誤用パターンを検索式として与えることにより，誤用文を検出することができる． 誤用文の形態素解析に現れる形容動詞の名詞修飾表現は，形容動詞の名詞修飾表現は活用がないため，解析器が正しく形態素情報を付与することを利用している．しかし，動詞のような活用がある品詞は，活用の誤りが誤用となる．したがって，この種の誤用文では通常ならば付与されな, Domestic conference

    本研究では、プログラムに対する俯瞰的な理解力を涵養するための学習方法を開発することを目的にする。さらに、開発した学習方法を用いた実証実験を行い、同方法の可能性・妥当性を調査する。 本研究で行う学習方法の基本は、比較的似通ったプログラムによって作成された２つのビジュアルコンテンツ（静止画、動画、マウス操作によって変化する画像など：以下コンテンツと呼ぶ）を閲覧し、その違いを学習しようというものである。 2019年度は、まず、同学習を行うための学習支援システムの構築を行った。同支援システムでは、(1)個々のコンテンツ、およびソースプログラムのデータベースへの格納・登録、(2)比較用教材となる２個のコンテンツをペアの登録・および教材メタデータの登録、(3)登録されたコンテンツ群からペアの候補を見つけるための支援機能である検索機能・類似コンテンツ推薦機能、(4)登録されたコンテンツを元に類似コンテンツを作成するための類似コンテンツ作成機能などを準備した。 2020年度は、作成した支援システムの教員側の操作性について本研究担当者間で使用実験を行ないし、支援システムを利用することで簡易、かつ柔軟に授業で使用するコンテンツを準備できることを確認した。 2021年度は、開発したプロトタイプシステムを用いて実証実験を行なう予定であったが、

    プログラミング教育においては，プログラミング中に学習者が陥っている問題をいち早く発見し，適切なアドバイスをすることが求められる．学習者の状況を教員がタイムリーに把握できれば，助言やプログラムのチェックを行うタイミングを見つけるなど，より適切な学習指導に結びつけることができる．しかしながら，これらはクラスの規模に制約を課すとともに，非常にコストのかかる作業でもある．本研究では，ソースコードを精読することなく，ソースコードと診断情報の量的変化を分析することでプログラミング過程における課題を発見し，教員の適時的かつ効果的な指導を支援するためのプログラミング開発過程分析・評価手法の開発を目的とする． 2020年度は，前半で100名規模のプログラミング未経験者にHTMLならびにCSS（情報発信演習）を，後半でJavascript（プログラミング基礎演習）を教授する演習において，学習者のソースコードを保存毎に記録し，学習過程の評価支援システムを構築ならびに学習過程の可視化方法の検討を行った．
    研究業績の公表準備状況については，プログラミング基礎演習における課題のメタデータを分析することでコードを精読せずとも演習課題の過程を評価できる可能性について検討した「プログラミング演習課題の過程評価のための評価指標の検討」（https://db-event.jpn.org/deim2020/post/proceedings/papers/I1-3.pdf）ならびに，学習者のソースコードを40秒間隔でスクレイピングする学習過程の評価支援システムを構築「プログラミング学習における演習課題の過程評価支援システムの開発」（https://db-event.jpn.org/deim2020/post/proceedings/papers/I1-4.pdf）との差分を整理した．

    In the Internet, huge and latest information can be acquired in every moment. If we could analyze the epidemiology of infectious disease information collected from the Internet resources, we might acquire a new epidemiological aspect different from a traditional one. To accomplish this aspect, we have developed a system that supports the epidemiological analysis of infectious disease information gathered from the Internet resources. So far we had focused to the data of the ProMED mailing list as an epidemiological information resource, because in each mail the editor adds a special entry, from which we can easily retrieve the disease case classification, the field classification and the location information of the epidemiological event announced by the mail. At the first year, to remove the structural dependence to the entry, we examined the possible implementation of dynamic and automatic classification by the full text retrieval of the mail. As a result, we were able to achieve the same classification with the system without the editor's special entry. At the second year, to expand the coverage of the system to more general Internet resources and to realize the system to be a more general dynamic classification system, the evaluation related to the maintenance of the classification tree data was done and the problems against the expansion of the coverage were also discussed. The classification tree data is a composite object of classification items and retrieval keywords and it should be a growing database. We decided it to be a semi-structured data and discussed its implementation. The content of the research of this semi-structured data was able to make the result public with the content of some other fields. But it takes time to put enough amounts of the epidemiology and infectious disease terms in the system and to maintain the classification tree data. This has been left as a problem in the future. To open it to the public, the prototype is being prepared. Especially, it is scheduled to make it as the Web application in the part of the visualization of the result of the retrieval so that it is possible to use it globally.

  • Discovery of Semantic Structures and Access Control in Distributed Hypermedia

    In this research, we developed new information retrieval methods with high precision and a dynamic access method for more effective information dissemination for distributed hypermedia such as World Wide Web (WWW). We especially focused on the following research topics, and developed necessary algorithms and prototypes for evaluating those algorithms : (1) Discovery of Semantic Structures from Web Data and Their use for Classification and Information Organization In order to discover a topic structure from a Web page, we developed an algorithm to discover subject terms and related terms by the term appearance density distribution and the term co-occurrence relationships, respectively. Based on these algorithms, we could successfully discover the generalization and aggregation relationships among Web pages. We also developed a prototype system in which users can retrieve Web data with relevance feedback by their topic structures. (2) Automatic Data Generation Based on Restructuring and Synchronizing Retrieved Data We developed a new way and a prototype for personalizing and generating synchronized contents. The effectiveness of the proposed method was evaluated through several information delivery Experiments. (3) Dynamic Access Control of Web Data by User Browsing Histories and Preferences We developed a method and a prototype for personalizing Web pages, which uses a rule-based XML language for representing Web author's intensions. (4) Non-traditional Web Information Filtering Based on the Freshness and the Localness We also developed new information filtering methods based on discovery of the freshness and the Localness of Web pages
